FREESAT TV - CH4HD SOON TO BE RELEASED

Channel 4 and Freesat have JUST announced that Channel 4 HD will launch on the freesat SATELLITE IN jUNE 2011

tHIS IS EXCELLENT NEWS FOR hORSE RACING FANS THAT WANT TO WATCH THE hORSE RACING ON A sATURDAY.

CHANNEL 4 HD will be availabe Free to Air on freesat HD receivers from May 2011.

Channel 4 HD will become the SITH HD channel on Freesat SATELLITE tv , joining BBC One HD, the BBC HD channel and ITV1 HD, More channels are planned for later this year.

FREESAT TV TORREVIEJA SPAIN

Channel 4 HD launched on Sky back in 2006 and has allowed a lot of British EX-PATS on the Costa Blanca to watch Channel 4 in HD as the standard CH4 frequency is really weak and cannot even be received with a big 2.4 Famaval Satellite dish.

It is unconfirmed at this stage what the reception of C4HD will be for British expats in Spain and the Costa Blanca, or if the Sky C4HD service will contimue.

The current C4HD service is available with a Sky card and even on a small 90cm satellite dish here in Spain.

It is currently unknown if the freesat free to air version of C4HD will be the same (unlikely!), as per BBC1 and BBC HD (big satellite dish required and should be 24/7 coverage), or as per BBC2 England (partial coverage on a big satellite dish)

SKY TV SPAIN - UPDATES TO THE SKY TV SCHEDULE

Here are the latest updated information details of when the new much anticuipated new Sky channel update changes will take place on February 1st 2011.

      What do you have to do? NOTHING!

The changes will he happening during the day of the 1st February from 9am GMT onwards you will find that the channels will automatical change.  This will not disprut your personal planner, it will not affect ang TV channels that you have set to record using your SKY+ BOX or SKY+HD BOX and will not affect your viewng or recording schedules.


Eight Sky TV channels will be off the air from around 2am until about 4am while Sky prepare for changes to the channel numbers in our entertainment line-up. During this period, there will be brief outages and you will see a placeholder banner advising you that no programmes are being broadcast.

You do not need to adjust your TV set or Sky box.

The following channels are affected:

Living
Living HD
Living ROI
Living+1
Livingit
Livingit+1
Challenge
Challenge+1

And Channel One, formerly Vigin Channel on Sky will close down.
At 6am, Channel One on Freeview will close, to be replaced on Freeview by Challenge.


HD channel changes: once the changes have taken place, the channel numbers on your TV listings for Entertainment and Music will have changed. HD customers will notice that some HD channels now have the same channel numbers as their standard definition counterparts. The Living channels: Living, Living HD, Living ROI, Living+1, Livingit, Livingit+1 become "Sky Living." Sky Living moves to channel 107 for both HD and standard definition.

At 9pm the new Sky channel, Sky Atlantic, will launch on channel 108 in HD and standard definition.

Sky Atlantic SD is available on Sky channel 108 from 9pm tonight.
